And For Trains : 11 04 2022

That is one ginormous driver club-head!    I saw a club grip and shaft first and didn't think anything of it as I've seen any number of clubs and they've all been irons.  I can tell this person has had trouble with their driver which finally came to a head. Ha!  Sorry---couldn't resist.  Later I was torqued to discover (about 3-4 miles out) that not only had the packet that had my penny extraction tools in it jumped out of my pocket, but so did the socket and most of the change I had just found.  And the rain came an hour after I finished so I couldn't go back over that route with my bike to look.  Stupid running shorts are going in the garage sale bin, that'll teach'em. Sheesh!

I just "missed" the train on the way out this morning but wouldn't ya know it.  It made the long stop at Smithfield Station when I went by again which allowed me to have a little fun. Stepping out in the road, stopping the already stopped cars, keeping them at bay while I directed the train through the Davis crossing, and as the crossing arms went back up I let the traffic know it was OK to proceed, which they were going to do anyway.  HA!! And everybody got the rediculousness of it all.  They waved, honked, gave me thumbs up, and probably a few gave me a 'well bless his heart' as well. That's one way to have a little fun, deal with the long wait at the train crossing, and maybe help keep somebody's BP down. Yes, this has been a public service.

There was another socket, another skinny drill bit, and what looks like a roll of adding machine paper.  I thought the paper would be good for grocery lists and that kind of thing.  There were a lot of pennies scattered about and three quarters as well. Found a dime but no nickel so I didn't 'hit for the cycle'.  At some point my brain was focusing on how to find all the 'treasures' that had jumped out of two short pockets and escaped.  Geeze Louise you'd think I had lost my Acura key fob, or my iPhone, or wallet, or debit card, or rubber duckie or something important. Let's put things into perspective here shall we.  OK, thank-you Creator of all things for all the little symbols of your infinite abundance.  And for trains!
