My scores from today's face-plant competition have just been posted: 9.2, 9.3, 8.9, 9.0, and a 5.1 from the Russian judge (such a hoser!) It was weird, one minute I'm running in the grass along the road, the next I'm examining the grass from very close up. I had stepped on the end of the wire for the inside of a wheel cover and then the other foot tried to stride through it and it won and I ended up face first. At least a kind person across the street rolled down the car window and asked if I was OK. I was OK, I was just angry about scratched up knees and mad that a fluke thing like that happened to me. Moving on, I'm guessing that once again somebody put something on top of the car and drove off. There was an Acura key fob for (most likely) a 2013-2015 ILX with two other 'fobs' with it. One was a Tile Tracker who's web site which proclaims "Don't wait to lose your things to get a tracker! Never lose anything." Ironic that they got the Tracker and then lost all three 'fobs'. The last 'fob' is an Anytime Fitness key fob and 'Da Googles' tells me they have a gym near where I found it so hopefully I can contact them and they can get all three 'fobs' back to whoever lost them. I know I wouldn't be too thrilled paying to replace them especially the Acura 'fob' which runs around $120.
I found a pli today, which I'll just keep for the picture as they work better in pairs (pliers). The metal Collezione Europa plate was a mystery to me although my honey would have know that it's a brand of furniture. Ya learn something new every day. The shin guard I recognized and "DG" further described it as a Wilson WSP2000 Soccer Shin Guard, just the thing to protect me from small angry dogs while running. The ArmorFlex label came off a pickup bed cover and the video I saw of it made it look like a cool DYI project. Note to self should I ever get another pickem-up truck. There was the usual collection of dropped bolts, washers and NutsIntheRoad (picked up by, yeah, yeah, we know....) and also a lot of change that was well 'rundover'. I hit for the extended cycle once again (penny, nickel, dime, quarter,socket,lug-nut) with that last elusive nickel showing up in a lane of traffic on Davis Blvd. Seems like I was just thinking about it, wondering how it would 'find me' and bang.....it shows up there in front of me. Ya gotta laugh! Anyway thank you Creator of all things for all these little treasures, and for Your sense of humor.
