Today there were six more chances to say "one more nut in the road picked up by," everyone together, "one more nut in the road." It makes me laugh. There were a couple of dozen college football player cards scattered along the sidewalk and grass, that was a first. What's next, High School Sports Heros? Sheesh! There also was a 1990 Jerry Rice card and the details listed a Super Bowl victory over the Bengals. Interestingly that that game could happen again this year as both teams are still in the playoffs with San Fran the NFC #2 seed and Cincy the AFC #3 seed. Go figure. Ok then, moving on there's another iPhone USB charger cord and you wonder how they end up in the road. Did it 'accidentally' fall out the car window or did Zippy just get tired of it cause he wanted a new one. Oh well. I found a MARIO! Years ago the family had a Nintendo and the MARIO games were the favorites so I know MARIO. Well, I found a Warp Tube MARIO today, just lying next to the curb. It's a 2022 Mickey D's Happy Meal toy, and I have to admit those guys put some fun stuff in their Happy Food. MARIO, ha ha! There was yet another Dumbo feather and you know, I still never got off the ground even. Maybe next time. I did ended up 'hitting for the cycle' today and a lot of the coins had gotten pretty roughed up, like that 2/3 of a penny did. But I still see them all as blessings, little symbols of the Creator's infinite abundance. Another 80 2/3 cents toward the next pair of running shoes. Yeayuh!
Fun, strange, interesting, crazy, unusual, and totally unexpected treasures found every day on my run. From shiny pennies to sockets, lug nuts, wallets, cell phones, credit cards, tools to rubber duckies and more. You just never know what you'll find and where you'll find it.
